Here’s an excerpt from Niccolo Machiavelli’s famous book, The Prince, which was written more than 500 years ago:

“…men change their rulers willingly, hoping to better themselves, and this hope induces them to take up arms against him who rules: [but then] they are deceived, because they afterwards find by experience [that their new rulers] have gone from bad to worse.”  Niccolo Machiavelli, The Prince

Now then:  In principle can we blame the ANC for what it have become?  Moreover, can we blame whoever will or may come after them, for what they too will become?
